HUNTING ISLAND STATE PARK
Hunting Island is South Carolina’s single most popular state park attracting more than a million visitors a year, as well as a vast array of land and marine wildlife. A picturesque Hunting Island Beach, palm trees and thousands of acres of marsh and maritime forest, a saltwater lagoon and ocean inlet are all part of the park’s natural allure that keep locals and vistors alike coming back all throughout the year. Climb the stairs to the top of the lighthouse and take in a breathtaking view of the Atlanic Ocean. Dolphins can often be seen frolicking right off shore and pelicans can be spotted dive bombing for their next meal. Hunting Island is not your typical beach. This natural beauty is a must see when visiting the area.
