Well, not the real white stuff falling from the sky, but close enough. The Festival of Trees in over in Port Royal is hosting a snow day on Sunday, December 3rd from 11am to 2pm.
Two fields will be created with tons of snow being blown all over a portion of the lot adjacent to The Shed, where the event is being held, turning a corner of the lot into a winter wonderland of fluffy, white snow.
Wow! The kids are going to have some fun with this.
Most kids in Beaufort haven’t seen snow before and it’s something they’ve seen on television or in a movie. Now they’ll actually have the chance to play in it.
“We wanted to make this year’s event super-fun for everyone, including the kids,” said Lindsay Roberg, Director of Friends of Caroline Hospice, the event’s benefactor. “Festival of Trees is one of Beaufort’s most traditional holiday events, and adding several fun components to the 3 day event this year is going to present loads of good fun for everyone who attends,” she said.
Bring gloves because the white stuff is cold on the hands, and temperatures in the upper 60′s will help guarantee the snow will only stick around for a couple of hours so we can have a great time. There is a nominal cost of $5 per adult and $3 per child.
