Sea Island Animal Hospital adds DVM

Dr. Shelley Horn has joined Sea Island Animal Hospital and brings years of veterinary and business experience to Beaufort’s pet-loving community.  Prior to becoming the new managing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the popular Lady’s Island office, Dr. Horn had worked at veterinary clinics both in the Lowcountry and also in Montgomery County, Maryland.

She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008 and also earned a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School in 1997, concentrating in Marketing and Business development prior to earning her DVM.

Dr. Horn also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech.

Prior to fulfilling her calling of becoming a veterinarian, she had a successful career as a Principal in a Sales and Marketing Strategy consulting firm where she led the Life Sciences practice and also directed medical research for the medical device industry.

Dr. Horn has an interest in ultrasound, dentistry, surgery and internal medicine. She provides her patients and clients a keen sense of compassion and is dedicated to furthering the human-pet bond through client education and patient wellness.
