Parish Church of St. Helena plans community Thanksgiving Dinner

Parish Church of St. Helena plans community Thanksgiving Dinner

The Parish Church of St. Helena will host its Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner and Worship Service on Thursday November 28th.

The service will be at 11am in the historic church at 505 Church Street followed by the free dinner in the Parish Hall at 507 Newcastle Street in downtown Beaufort.

All are welcome!

Providing a free Thanksgiving dinner for the community is a favorite tradition at the Parish Church of St. Helena, serving over one thousand meals each year. Dinner will be served from noon to 2 p.m. Carryout meals will be available from for those who want to take meals to the elderly or home bound; and meal delivery is available from 11am to noon. The dinner is a gift to the community.

“Come have a meal and take a meal – for yourself, a neighbor or someone who is alone,” says coordinator Rosalind Dixon. “This dinner is for anyone who doesn’t have the time, the strength or the opportunity to make Thanksgiving dinner at home.”

Cooked turkeys and other traditional homemade Thanksgiving foods are donated by many parishioners. Parishioners set tables, serve, and clean up, in a wonderful spirit of love and sharing.

Donations are always gratefully accepted, but the admission price is a smile and a thankful heart. For more information, please contact Rosalind at rdixon@sthelenas1712.org; or visit www.sthelenas1712.org.
