13 Aug Movies on the Lawn coming to downtown courtesy of USCB
Free family movie night’s are returning to downtown Beaufort. The University of South Carolina Beaufort’s Community Outreach department has announced the school’s first ever Movies on the Lawn Series for families here in the community. The free movies are taking place over four Friday evenings on the front lawn of USCB’s Center for the Arts on Carteret Street in downtown, with the first one coming on September 21st.
The school plans to start out with Mrs. Doubtfire, then will be showing How the Grinch Stole Christmas as the holiday season draws near and they’ll be following up this spring with Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Forrest Gump.
Organizers are inviting families and children from all over Beaufort to enjoy a night of family entertainment and are asking that you make sure to bring a chair and a blanket to enjoy the night of fun, starting at dusk.

The website also has a spot where you can suggest movie ideas for future dates on the lawn…just in case there’s something you want to see.
See you at the Movies!
