Parents can get ready to plan a bowling and laser tag outing for the kids…right here in Beaufort. The Community Bowling Center on Ribaut Road has been making improvements over the past weeks and plans are to continue expansion and renovations to add a full laser tag arena by year’s end, filling a much needed void in family entertainment in the area.

“We’re making lots of changes and we’ve upgraded and added a new automatic scoring system on all the bowling lanes to create a better experience for folks who enjoy our facility,” said Pastor Randy Roberts of Love House Ministries, owner of the Center. “The next phase of renovations to the Center will be to add a fully functional Lasertron laser tag arena with a maze and ramps for multi level play in time for the holidays. Families and kids should love it,” he added.

Lasertron has been designing and building laser tag arenas since 1986

Laser tag will be open to the public and available for private parties. Additional plans are to replace all of the arcade video games with new games and add a prize redemption center.

The local church purchased and reopened the shuttered AMF Ribaut Lanes center at 1140 Ribaut Road in September of 2013 after it had closed down the year before.

Love House was able to secure funding for the current projects from the SC. Community Loan Fund.

This is good news. This is really good news.

Often, when you talk with younger people in our community, they say that there isn’t a lot for kids to do in Beaufort and parents have echoed the same sentiment. Kids love laser tag and this is a great addition to the local community with the nearest laser tag center located all the way in Savannah. This adds another option to the Center when it comes to celebrating the kids’ birthday parties right here close to home.

Bowling, pizza and laser tag. That’s a fun family evening in Beaufort.
