Community Events and Other Halloween Fun
The Exchange Club’s 26th Annual Beaufort Ghost Tours to benefit CAPA, one of Beaufort’s spookiest events, began October 12th and run through the 30th. Take a carriage ride or walking tour through the moss-lined streets of Beaufort’s historic district while listening to costumed storytellers tell haunting tales of the area. Downtown Trick-O-Treat Halloween Party Grab the costumed kids and head to Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park on Saturday, October 27th from 11am – 2pm (New Location and Time) for an afternoon of games, music, costume parades and candy! Parents and children are invited to spend time with friends and neighbors in an old-fashion Trick-o-Treat celebration. Open and free to the public.
Halloween ComicFest is an annual event where participating local comic shops like Flashback Gear celebrate the season by giving away free comics to fans. This is a perfect opportunity to introduce kids, friends, and family to the many reasons why comics are great! 802 Bay Street, Downtown
Port Royal’s Annual Trunk or Treat Ghoultide gathering that offers a safe trick or treating experience for ghouls, goblins, and ghosts of all ages is coming to Paris Avenue on Sunday October 28th from 3pm to 5pm. Hunting Island State Park Trunk or Treat Put on your costumes for treats, games, and spooky lighthouse climbs on Friday, October 26 from 6pm-9pm. Children can enjoy trick or treating in a fun and safe environment in the lighthouse parking lot and then create a sand art masterpiece or climb the historic Hunting Island Lighthouse after dark! Carteret Street United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch The Pumpkin Patch is open daily through Halloween with thousands of pumpkins of all sizes to choose from. All proceeds raised benefit Carteret Street’s youth ministries.
