Habersham, South Carolina was ranked as one of the 20 Best Places to Live on the Coast in 2018 by Coastal Living magazine and we could not agree more!
Full of small shops, restaurants and other independent businesses, Habersham is a gem that has also previously been named the Southern Living Magazine Community of the Year, awarded the “Best Neighborhood Design in America” by the National Association of Home Builders and called the Best of the Best Neo-Traditional Communities by Ideal Living magazine.
“A master- planned community, Habersham is the small town you wish you’d grown up in.” ~ Coastal Living Magazine
The magazine said the master-planned community of Habersham is “the small town you wish you’d grown up in,” that “really does feel like it’s been here a couple of centuries, instead of decades.”
Habersham came in 4th place behind Santa Cruz, CA, which came in at #1, The Kennebunks, ME and Long Branch, NJ.
The magazine also mentions the town’s proximity to other spots, telling folks they can take advantage of Habersham’s location for easy excursions to Charleston and Savannah.
Habersham’s developer has created a great sense of place that is home to the annual Harvest Festival, the Beaufort Twilight Run and a host of other wonderful community events, and the word has been out for awhile.
