Beaufort enjoys the weekend’s holiday events
It was a wonderous holiday-themed weekend in Beaufort as the community very thoroughly enjoyed a trifecta of events with A Night on the Town, the Light Up the Night Boat Parade, and the Beaufort Christmas Parade all welcoming what surely seemed record crowds.
On Friday, there certainly was a lot of Christmas Spirit in downtown Beaufort. Gingerbread men, carolers, puppets, mimes, Marines, musicians, firefighters, elves and even Santa himself all packed downtown’s streets for the annual Night on the Town celebration that offered food, music and the lighting of Beaufort’s Christmas tree.
Saturday night was the perfect night for a Christmas Boat Parade. A HUGE turnout visited Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park to see the unique display of local holiday spirit in the Beaufort River.

Of course, Sunday brought the biggest parade of the year, the Beaufort Christmas Parade. Always a spirited celebration of our community, the parade boasted scores of entries including bands, schools, local non-profit organizations, clubs, various local businesses, boy & girl scouts, pets, a yeti, the grinch and lots more.
The Christmas spirit was everywhere.
