Beaufort Clothing Company to close after decade on Bay Street

beaufortclothingcompany5 After a decade of dressing the women and men of Beaufort, SC, Beaufort Clothing Company will be closing its doors at the end of September.

“We want to express our sincere appreciation of the patronage of Beaufortonians, and those who have visited us while passing through town,” said Gwen Myers, owner of Beaufort Clothing Company. Mother and daughter team, Gwen & Olivia Myers, purchased Beaufort Clothing Company in 2007 from the Ambrose family who had operated the shop at the Bay Street location for more than a decade.

Deal-seekers can enjoy the store’s huge inventory liquidation sale. The sale begins on Saturday, September 16th and it starts with 50% off the current stock and 75% off the summer clearance items. Store hours will remain 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m., Monday – Saturday and 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.

beaufortclothingcompany4The entire store will be sold including clothing, cosmetics, fixtures, supplies and more.

The doors will officially close at the end of the September.

Another local business will be opening up shop in the building shortly after and the spot will continue to sell clothing, as well as lots of other items. It will be the 4th location in the Beaufort area for the new business.
