At 8:00pm, attendees will be invited into the theater space to be delighted with the musical stylings of Beaufort’s many great performers including Maggie Norden, Penney Smith, Marlena Smalls, Elaine Lake, Velma Polk, Karl Wells, Drew Hillis, Brad Ballington, Hannah Brown and Anna Schaffer.  These veterans of the BTC stage will explore songs from former shows, from fan favorite musicals including selected music from Grease, Always Patsy Cline, Little Shop of Horrors and from future productions as well.Sit back and enjoy the best that Beaufort has to offer.

Following the performance, the audience will be invited to take their own turn on stage as it is transformed into a dance floor, complete with the dulcet sounds of the Sweetgrass Angels.

Throughout the evening, guests will be encouraged to bid on a wide variety of fantastic items that include a stay at a cottage in Ireland, magnums of autographed Cakebread wine, boat cruises and exclusive golf packages.

It has been a banner year for the USCB Center for the Arts.  On top of bringing quality entertainment from around the country to the Beaufort stage, Beaufort Theatre Company'The Affair' to be a night to remember at USCB and Beaufort Children’s Theatre, the CFA’s two resident producing entities, continue to grow and thrive, even garnering state attention with wins in the South Carolina Broadway World Awards.  As such, the Center for the Arts has decided to cap its 2014-2015 Season with a grand event.  All proceeds from the evening will help in supporting a new season of programming.  As the Center for the Arts is self-sustaining, contributions from generous donors are required to keep the doors open.

After decades have past, I still remember the feeling of snuggling next to my own wonderful mother, Kathy, as she introduced me to the magical world of theater.  I am so grateful to have been gifted a love of music and live performance and I owe so much of that to Mom.  I’m sure that more than a few of Beaufort’s own have similar tales to tell.  So be sure to tell your Mom Saturday is her night to shine and take her to the CFA, at the center of it all, where she belongs.
