TCL hosts its annual party this weekend at the Beaufort campus on Ribaut Road.

TCL Invites all first responders to attend 2016 Oyster(less) Roast for FREE 

The technical College of the Lowcountry is stepping up and recognizing that the Lowcountry is standing strong thanks to the tireless work of the county’s first responders and emergency management personnel.

In appreciation of their tireless and selfless work to maintain safety and help rebuild Beaufort, the faculty and staff of the Technical College of the Lowcountry are inviting all first responders to be guests of the college at the 2016 Oysters, BBQ and Friends by the Bay, the college’s annual oyster roast, this coming Saturday, October 15th. The event kicks off at 6:00 PM on TCL’s Beaufort Campus.

All first responders are invited to attend free and enjoy food, drink and live local music.

Due to Hurricane Matthew, the 2016 oyster roast will be oyster-less. Instead Craig Reeves and the Sea Eagle team will serve up a Lowcountry BBQ with all you can eat pulled pork BBQ, potato salad, baked beans, southern cole slaw, corn on the cob and, rolls and buns. Pepsi will provide free water and soft drinks. Beer and wine will be available to purchase. First responders will receive one free beer or wine drink ticket…on the house.

Music will be provided by Chris Jones, one of Beaufort’s favorite musicians. Chris is regarded as one of the most talented finger style guitarists in the Lowcountry.

The event is open to the community and tickets can be purchased at the event or online at http://www.tcl.edu/foundation/oysters. Kids under 10 are free.

First responders are asked to please wear their insignia, station logo or other identification so that they can be readily recognized and thanked.
