Rotary Club Oyster Roast makes living in Lowcountry special

RotaryOysterRoast-63If fall is here and the temperature starts to drop, then it must be time for that most favorite of Lowcountry events; the ever-popular oyster roast.

Tons of warmly dressed oyster lovers braved the early evening rain and joined in the fun at Live Oaks Park in Port Royal on Saturday evening for the Rotary Club of the Lowcountry’s annual Family Oyster Roast…always one of Beaufort’s best.

Folks enjoyed a silent & live auction, live music with Mike Cavanaugh, and all the fantastic LOCAL oysters they could eat.

Oyster roasts are a part of our community. It’s what we do. It’s traditions like this that make living here so special.

It’s the connection between the water we live on and the food on our table. And even more so, it’s the connection between us, our neighbors, family and friends as we stand around in our jackets, laughing, talking and enjoying one of the most unique and delicious  experiences to be found right here in our own back yard.

Thanks to the Rotary Club for putting on one of the finest each and every year.
