Large cast of local businesses sign up to accept Main Street Dollars

There’s quite a large list of local businesses signing up to be a part of Main Street Beaufort, USA ‘s Main Street Dollars promotion in which local consumers can purchase the MSB Dollars for half price in $5 & $10 increments, and redeem them at participating businesses for full face-value, with a maximum of 100 MSB Dollars available for $50.  Not all of the participating businesses are in downtown Beaufort either.

Main Street Beaufort will start selling a second round of 15,000 Main Street Beaufort Dollars this Saturday, August 18th at 10am at its office located at 101 West Street Extension in downtown Beaufort. There is an extensive list of 50+ local businesses from retail shops to clothing stores and restaurants who are members of the organization that have signed up to accept the MSB Dollars which will expire Thursday, September 13th.

According to Main Street Beaufort USA’s website, you can feel free to spend your MSB Dollars at the following participating businesses:  (Inhale)

The program proved to be successful in February when the public lined up on West Street Extension and down Bay Street to purchase the 15,000 MSB Dollars available which sold out in 18 minutes. The program is designed to boost the downtown economy at historically slow times of year and encourage locals to shop downtown. Main Street Beaufort reimburses participating businesses for 100% of the MSB Dollars they receive.
