Junior Service League of Beaufort holds annual BBQ fundraiser

By Anna Schaffer | This past Saturday the Junior Service League of Beaufort held their annual BBQ fundraiser at the Shed in Port Royal. The evening was filled with good food, good music & good times for the over 200 patrons in attendance.

JSLB’s “Buoys & BBQ” began with dinner, served by Q on Bay, with live music provided by Blackbeard’s Truck, out of Columbia, South Carolina. The Shed in Port Royal was transformed into a nautical paradise complete with a life jacket wall & a sailboat inspired silent auction table.

The proceeds from this event allow the league to fund grants, which are awarded to local organizations promoting the well being of both women and children in the Beaufort area.

Without sponsors, this event would have been impossible, a big thank you to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for taking on the role of Presenting Sponsor, Coastal Carolina Hospital, The Preserve at Port Royal, the City of Port Royal for use of the Shed, and so many other local businesses that contributed to the success of this years BBQ.

We look forward to seeing you there next year!
