Fireworks, Fourth of July fun at The Sands (w/video)

A few thousand people made The Sands in Port Royal their spot to celebrate our nation’s birthday and catch some 4th of July fireworks on Friday night, and the evening long celebration offered tons of enjoyment for all ages. The Parris Island Marine Band provided the backdrop to the evening with its usual A+ performance and temperatures well into the 90s didn’t deter anyone from having tons of patriotic fun.

With a wide array of things to do, and fantastic food to eat, folks set up chairs and blankets along the beach and all the way down Sands Beach Road in anticipation of the fireworks display, which is northern Beaufort county’s only public display on the Fourth of July.

Enjoy some video of the fireworks display.
