Church mice and made-to-order pies headline Fall Bazaar at Parish Church of St. Helena

A sailboat, a baby grand piano, a doll with handmade outfits, a round of golf and lunch for two at Secession Golf Club are among the Silent Auction offerings at the Fall Bazaar Saturday, November 1st, at the Parish Church of St. Helena in downtown Beaufort.

The popular bazaar, presented by the Women of the Parish, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Parish House at 507 Newcastle St. The bazaar, which benefits the church’s outreach efforts in Beaufort and around the world, continues its tradition of St. Helena’s famous handmade chorister “church mice,” presenting a deacon mouse this year. Returning are the angel mice with new and improved wings and sleeping mice (“not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse”).Church mice and made-to-order pies headline Fall Bazaar at Parish Church of St. Helena

Also featured will be a sizable inventory of handmade Christmas wreaths, ornaments and gift items; homemade dinner items packaged and frozen for purchase; and baked goods at the St. Cloud Bakery.

New this year, you can pre-order a home-baked pie, any flavor (sweet or savory!) for only $12. E-mail your name, phone # and choice to teeolive2@embarqmail.com to place your order. Pick up your pie at the St. Cloud Bakery on Bazaar day.

Bazaar shoppers will find the Parish House courtyard filled with plants and shrubs. Other popular offerings include linens, books, jewelry and the Bargain Box for gently used items.

We never miss it. We’ll see you there…
