Beaufort Beauties set to invade The Shed on March 21st

It’s March, and that means it’s time to see a bunch of local men dressing as….women.

Yeah, you read that right.

The 6th annual Beaufort Beauties Contest fundraiser event is set for March 21st at 7:30pm, at The Shed in Port Royal. We watch for the sixth year as local men put their best ‘heel’ forward by dressing as women and competing in a beauty pageant sponsored by Main Street Beaufort, USA to raise money for four local charities.

Ticket holders will be entertained with an opening number, talent and evening gown competitions, and Q&A with local celebrity judges.

This year’s line-up includes locals Chris Geier, Will Achurch, Douglas Boyne, Bill Zimmer, Zach Manley, Bob Ellis and Seth Parsick.Beaufort Beauties set to invade The Shed on March 21st

To fill you in on the whole concept, Main Street Beaufort has asked influential men in the community to ask friends, neighbors, and business partners to support them and dress as women for a show we’ll never forget. Each contest’s goal is to raise $1,000 that will be donated to the efforts of Main Street Beaufort, USA as well as HELP of Beaufort, Friends of Hunting Island and The Humane Association of the Lowcountry.

Miss Congeniality’ will be crowned according to the man/woman that raises the most money. The event itself will be like a real beauty pageant with an opening choreographed number, talent show, evening gown competition, and one-on-one interviews.

Tickets can be purchased from Main Street Beaufort at (843) 525-6644 or by visiting the office at 101 West Street Extension in downtown Beaufort.  Tickets are $35 each. Tables of 10 or 12 are available for reservations as well as a new VIP on-stage seating this year for $250, includes seating for 5 and drinks.
